Ideal place for those who want to spend a peaceful holiday, the villa and the outbuilding are located 5 minutes drive from Castellina in Chianti, a charming village renowned for its typical cuisine, the ice cream, the olive oil and the local wines tastings(Chianti Gallo Nero).
This village will also offer you every kind of facility so as bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks and public transport services. Florence is 50 minutes drive away, Siena 30 minutes. Daily trips and tours are available on request to visit the near renowned cities of San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, Arezzo, Bologna, Rome, and the Tyrrhenian Coast in addition to Florence and Siena.
Villa Antico Monastero is a secluded location (437 yards of dirt road from the main street) and it is situated just few steps from its outbuilding: this is a 15th Century ancient monastery located along the Francigena road, fully renovated a few years ago, still preserving the typical structure of the Tuscan country homes (fireplace, large, thick walls, ceilings with wooden beams). It is surrounded by 9.88 acres of private land planted with olive trees, grapevines and fruit trees.
VILLA INTERIOR: it is a detached villa comprising 1 living room with a dining table and a fireplace, a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and microwave, 1 bathroom with shower, a study provided with an ADSL network connection, 3 bedrooms (6 beds total: two double bedrooms with king size beds , one bedroom with twin beds), 1 bathroom with WC only. The furnishing consists of period furniture but functional, the kitchen is modern and well equipped with every comfort.

EXTERIORS: covered space with a second refrigerator, laundry with washing machine and washing sink, storage for mobile barbecue, wide warehouse for clothes drying during winter, outdoor dining table.
Next to the villa there is a private swimming pool (19.7 by 52.5 feet long) overlooking the Chianti hills, a rock waterfall, built in 2011 and an outside hot shower. The water purification system is really modern using salt instead of chlorine, ensuring full comfort. The pool is only visible from the villa offering so the maximum privacy. Beds, swings and an outdoor living room complete the pool area.

The outbuilding, independent and a short walk from the villa, offers a breathtaking view over the vineyards, the olive groves, the forest and the valley with enchanting sunsets and red twilights.
INTERIORS: it comprises a living room with dining table, satellite TV, fireplace and wide picture window, small kitchen furnished with dishwasher, refrigerator, oven and microwave, 1 bathroom with shower, study with ADSL network connection, 2 bedrooms (4 beds): one double bedroom with a king size bed and one bedroom with two twin beds.
OUTDOOR: little space with washing machine, solarium with view outside and outdoor dining table, covered terrace with dining table, outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi (with adjustable temperature and whirlpool bath), large outdoor area with barbecue.
LOCATION: The villa is situated in Tuscany, 2 km far from the small village of Castellina in Chianti, offering all the necessary amenities (grocery stores, banks, post office and transport services). The villa is 14.3 miles from Siena, 29.4 miles from Florence.
