The villa in authentic Chianti style is linear, luminous, almost a sculpture: built on three levels, following the natural slope of the land, it plays on the juxtaposition of horizontal and vertical lines: geometric space that interact with the landscape through spacious glass windows.
The sunny living room with typical fireplace, the spacious kitchen, the bedrooms with a total privacy, the pool and the terraces, all appear one of a whole, and together blend with the most authentic "nature" that reflects the Chianti landscape. THE VILLA: Villa Podere Vecchio ( 8 people, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms ) is in authentic Chianti Style, is linear, luminous, almost a sculpture. It is furnished with architectural elements in traditional Sienese style such as: stone-facing, exposed beams; floors and ceiling in terra cotta and top quality furnishings, totally air- conditioned, Internet ADSL. The Villa is about 240 m, with a large terraces(400 m), balconies and an endless garden more than 3.000 m, wide.
Ground floor: Sunny living room with large open fireplace, Dining room with 10 seats, TV satellite corner, Kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, micro way, oven and all appliances. 1 Double bedroom in front of a rose garden. 1 Twin bedroom. 2 Shower bathrooms.
First Floor: Double bedroom, with direct access by three door- windows in a panoramic terrace. Lobby. Shower bathroom. Terrace 120 m.
Second Floor: Double bed room, from its two windows this room has one of the most spectacular views of the area. Lobby. Bathroom features hydro massage Jacuzzi.
FACILITIES AND OTHER ACTIVITY: Heated swimming pool. The beautiful swimming pool features an hydro massage, located in a wonderful and panoramic position with unobstructed views over the countryside, offering a unique view over Chianti landscape. The pool is surrounded by a furnished sun terrace over 300 m.
Sauna: The sauna, that assures comfort and relax, is located near the swimming pool with shower. The steam is a really Finnish sauna with temperature from 50 to 110 centigrade that you can monitor by yourself.
Tennis:It's possible to practice tennis on our tennis court in a position of absolut privacy, at 250 mt. from the Villa.
Fishing Lake: We have at 250 mt from the Villa a small fishing lake on the grounds complete with fountain for water works. We do not hire out fishing equipments.
Restaurant: Some of the authentic Tuscan meals are served in the ancient wine cellar at 200 mt from the Villa; here breakfast and dinner are served in a simple yet refined atmosphere. Villa Podere Vecchio is the ideal place to celebrate wedding banquet or event, infact the panoramic terraces can host up to 80 people.
Zoo: We have a fenced park with animals: goats, ducks, swans, and hens. There is a lot of trails for hikers around the Villa.
Vineyards and Olives: The Villa is surrounded by olives groves and vineyards: our Chianti wine and extra virgin oil of olive are our main products, all available for purchase. The guests can take part of the agricultural activities.
WHERE WE ARE: Villa Podere Vecchio is located 25 Km. far from the centre of Siena, 3 Km. from Gaiole in Chianti. It takes just an hour to get here by car from Florence and half an hour from Siena.
