Marica Apartment - holiday rental

We loved our stay at the Marica apartment. The location was fantastic, and the apartment was clean, beautiful and so functional for our stay. We will happily recommend this to anyone going to Florence. Thanks for making our visit comfortable, safe and enjoyable!

The apartment is large, bright, clean, well-furnished and attractively decorated. It is more than adequate for two persons and, with the second bathroom, can easily accommodate another couple. The kitchen is fully equipped and a supermarket and various other food shops are nearby. The washing machine was a feature that we appreciated and allowed us to pack a bit lighter. The WiFi connection was fast and easily accessed. The host was prompt, efficient, and easily reached by cell phone and text message. The apartment is in a very good location in the Oltrarno neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Ponte Vecchio and major sites in Firenze, but away from the very noisy tourist areas. Several restaurants (and a carry-out) are close by when you choose to dine out. Bus tickets are sold at numerous local Tabacs and a major bus stop at Porta Romana is about 450 meters away. The apartment is not air conditioned and has no parking facilities if you are driving. We found secure indoor parking about 600 meters away for 15 Euro per day just outside the ZTL (limited access zone). We would highly recommend Marica apartment and not hesitate to book it again. Thank you very much for a delightful stay at the Marica apartment. It has an excellent location right on the no. 11 bus route and close to the atmospheric shops and restaurants of the Oltrano district. The thick walls and windows ensure there is no noise from the street outside. The apartment is very well appointed and stocked with convenient appliances as well as beautifully decorated. Be sure to try the wonderful ice-cream at the Sorbeterria in nearby Piazza Tasso. Their inventive flavours include lemon and SAGE and 'cartrame' (tar) the darkest of dark chocolate.
