Tuscany Farm Holidays - FARMHOUSE IL BORGO: "Farmhouse Il Borgo" was once an ancient medieval village and is nowadays a refined resort. It is stronghold of an important cultural and familiar tradition as well as echo of an evocative past, and most of all, a current emblem of fine architecture and helpful hospitality. The Owner wished the old village restoration; a careful restoration retaining the old structure and lawns as well as the use of original materials and the exploitation of woods by setting up an artistic course just reveal the tasteful care of every detail.
Tuscany Accommodation - ACCOMMODATIONS: "Farmhouse Il Borgo" lies between the medieval Rock of Romena and the Castle of Poppi, not far from Florence, the city of the Medici family, and the evocative echoes of La Verna and Camaldoli Sanctuary. In 1037 the original village was given from the Arezzo Bishop Emmone to Camaldoli Hermitage; then it waited until our century to see its total restoration always retaining the typical local building material - wood, cotto tiles, stone-, the characteristic architectural style and most of all its ancient beauty and atmosphere. Thin brick arches and stone walls raise from the green casket of Casentino and originate rich farmhouses, each one with its own court yard in flower. Wide lawns and playgrounds areas make pleasant the rhythm of today's life pleasant, offering in the meantime quite town at a stone's throw from everyday world.
This quiet oasis is absolutely as good as everyday world. A comfortable hall, Limonaia, is available for the moments that guests like to spend together; two wide comfortable halls are also available for family gatherings or meetings; the wide terrace next to the swimming pool offers the perfect location for brunches and dinners. In "Farmhouse Il Borgo" warm and vivacious hospitality are really spread out to all those who are fond of sun and movement: they can obviously take advantage of many playgrounds, a private lake with solarium as well as of a truly artistic road in the middle of grass lawns.
Tuscany Apatments - APARTMENTS: 16 farmhouses buildings including villas and hamlets. Each one has its own central heating, open face fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. All properties are equipped with private area for living on the open air, barbecue, garden table and chairs. Every property has a different name and specific characteristics. The under-mentioned units are grouped according to the originally farmhouse.
Tuscany Farm Holidays - ACTIVITIES: "Farmhouse Il Borgo" offers a unique opportunity to combine relax and movement together. Limonaia offers a comfortable area for the moments that guests like to spend together to enjoy aperitifs, group activities. The guests can take advantage of playgrounds specially created for them. "Farmhouse Il Borgo" offers a five-a-side football pitch, a basketball court and a tennis court too. A private lake with solarium is also available to enjoy relax making heliotherapy or fishing. Ping pong, billiard, and playground are ready for young children. Special rates to rent mountain bikes in Ponte a Poppi village; 3 km. far from Borgo there is a riding school available for keens on rides; in Poppi village, 5 km from the estate, the Golf Club Casentino offers a 9 holes green as a pleasant alternative.
The wide spaces available offer the possibility for long relaxing walks in the greeneries nearby the property. "Farmhouse Il Borgo" is also a careful place of art: a considerable number of sculptures, paintings and bass-relieves by many artists lie outside to the open air. In this way they can offer their own face, their marble, their own energy along a truly artistic road, creating a kind of aesthetic continuity into the visitor's mind and an harmonious union between art and nature too.

There is the privacy of the single person, cherished by its autonomous apartment sheltered from any frantic social rhythm; there is the privacy of the family, the privacy of the party of friends and the privacy of the company.
Two comfortable halls specifically studied for catering use and conventions are available: there is "Il Granaio", right for banquets and equipped with industrial kitchen for catering use, and "Il Fienile" right for meetings and conventions. The little and ancient church that dominates "Farmhouse Il Borgo" is just perfect for the ones who want a really intimate and romantic religious cerimony.
